An informal and sharing group beginning with the basic technique of hand piecing.
We start with English Patchwork and then progress to American Block piecing, which involves using templates to create different blocks such as Shoo Fly and Friendship Star. These blocks, in triangles and squares, could then be combined to make a cushion cover or quilt.
We will then go on to patterns such as Log Cabin, Crazy Patchwork and Cathedral Windows as well as the basics of hand quilting and machine piecing.
