🟩 Bermondsey

Bermondsey is now an up and coming area with expensive appartments and offices. It combines rundown estates with increasingly trendy areas. In Saxon times it was desolate marshland with a few small islands. Later it became an area where the ‘dirty work’ of London took place. This walk will look at how this area has changed and developed over the centuries
