The group is for people interested in all things Japanese. If you’ve been to Japan on holiday, lived or worked there, never been there but always wanted to go, read and dreamed about it or are just plain curious, this is for you. It doesn’t matter if you speak the language or don’t understand a word of it, you’ll be welcome. And of course, if you are Japanese and would be interested to join us, we would love to see you too

❑ We cover anything and everything to do with Japan and Japanese life. From sushi to samurai, bullet trains to Buddhism, martial arts to manga. If you’ve got an obsession or just a mild curiosity about something we want to hear about it. Love films by Kurosawa or Studio Ghibli? Can’t choose between Murakami’s novels and the Tale of Genji? Been to Tokyo and Kyoto and want something more off the beaten track? We’re here for you and we’ll encourage everyone to take part. The only thing we won’t do is try and teach you to speak Japanese
