Bulletin no. 01 (October 2017)

Following the very successful Inaugural Meeting on 27th September and our recent Monthly Meeting, we now have 334 signed-up members and many of our interest groups are now up and running. Meetings can be held in a member’s home or a larger space as necessary.  Each group has a Convener as the first point of contact and the names of these, together with a message sender, can be found on under the relevant group heading on this website. Do get in touch via this resource if you want to join or know more about any of our groups.

Monthly Meetings

On October 12th we hosted our first Monthly Meeting. Peter Cox read excerpts from his book Growing Up in London, based on interviews with over 100 U3A members, aged between 75 and 95. This was an informative and nostalgic morning attended by an appreciative audience of nearly 100.

The November and December meetings are to be held at the Moravian Church Hall, Priory Road, N8 on the second Thursday of every month. From January 2018 we may move the venue – details soon. Doors open at 10.00 a.m. for tea and coffee. Talks begin at 10.45 a.m.

Please remember to bring your membership card to these events. For those who are not yet members, there will be an opportunity to join on the day.
