Introducing our new Trustees 2024

Lesley Holland

I’ve lived in Muswell Hill for nearly 30 years. I love the vibrancy and energy of our u3a and rich diversity of interest groups, thanks to the commitment of our group convenors who make u3a such a great organisation. I take part in Spanish and walking groups and co-convene the Real Food group. My working life in equal opportunities and valuing diversity instilled in me a passion for fairness. I am a member of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team and the Social Events Team. It has been great to promote awareness of the diversity of people who live in our community and to reflect the interests of all our members so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of u3a

Victoria Midwinter

I joined the Art and Wine Appreciation groups as soon as CEDu3a launched and never looked back! I live in Muswell Hill. My career was in local government and I understand the importance of good governance. Now I volunteer at a local primary school and am a ‘Friend of Coldfall Wood’. I love boats and row regularly on the River Lee as well as doing river clean-ups. As part of the Volunteering Admin Team I have improved how we record offers of help from members and would like to be more involved in the development of our very successful u3a

Alison Miller

I have lived locally in Hornsey for almost 30 years. When I was lucky enough to take early retirement from a career in Local Government my mum encouraged me to search out my local u3a, never dreaming that I might take her up on the suggestion. Amazing to think that was over 5 years ago. I have loved being part of a vast array of groups and made so many friends since then. Working for London Boroughs in Housing and Community Safety, my passions centred on the powers of multi-agency working, appropriate mental health support for vulnerable people and community empowerment

David Weatherby

My wife and I moved from Islington to Hornsey over 40 years ago and it has proved to be a great place to bring up our three daughters. Although I have worked as a social worker and a teacher, the majority of my working experience has been in systems consulting and management with the last few years being for the NHS. I joined CEDu3a in 2019 and have enjoyed being a member of many groups, currently Beer Appreciation, World History, and the EDI team. I am now also part of the Beacon system admin and support team
