CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR THE ELECTION OF NON-OFFICER TRUSTEE POSITIONS
The CEDu3a is holding its fourth Annual General Meeting (AGM) online on 14 April 2022 at 11am. At the AGM members will be asked to elect and re-elect Trustees, approve the accounts, hear a brief overview of progress to date and plans for the future.
There are currently ten Trustees, of which six hold Officer positions. We are seeking to elect three new Trustees, including the new Treasurer (appointed in September 2021 by the Executive Committee) and the re-election of five existing Trustees (including the current Chair, 2 Vice Chairs, Secretary and Groups Coordinator who will all retain their posts should they be re-elected).
Trustee posts have a term of office of three years and none is remunerated. Any CEDu3a member can stand for election as a Trustee, following proposal by a fellow member. All nominations must be seconded by another CEDu3a member. Neither proposer nor seconder may be current Officer or non-Officer Trustee members of the CEDu3a Executive Committee.
A person specification for the role of Trustee is set out here. The nominated candidate must agree to the nomination and to a series of caveats which accompany it.

All nominations must be submitted to the CEDU3a Secretary, Jackie Langford (email address email@example.com ), to arrive by noon on Friday 21st January 2022
Candidates will be asked to supply a statement not exceeding 300 words if the election is contested. Should nominations exceed vacancies, the decision about appointments shall be taken by ballot and candidates’ statements will be included in the ballot papers.
