Down the Drain
The U3A Network for South East Greater London and the London Metropolitan Archives present:
Down the Drain, an in-depth study of the history of London’s drainage right through to the current Tideway Project, celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Sir Joseph Bazalgette, 8 February 2019, 10.30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The programme will include:

Professor David Perrett, Chair of GLIAS
Nick Higham, journalist
Crossness Engines Trust with their twenty foot working model of the Crossness Pumping Station
The Education Department of the Tideway Project
… and poetry : Keats House Poetry Ambassadors telling you everything you could ever wish to know about London’s sewers.

Refreshments on arrival and lunch are included in the ticket price.
