We would very much like some assistance on our U3A stall in the Town Hall Square on 9 June, the first Saturday of the Crouch End Festival. The stall will be there from 10.30 to 4.30. If you would like to help in handing out leaflets, talking to interested people, answering queries, etc. for an hour or so, please email Graham Bennett – firstname.lastname@example.org.
As part of the Crouch End Festival, Crouch End & District U3A will be joining with the Hornsey Historical Society at its local history drop-in sessions on Saturday 2 June. We need volunteers to help run the sessions. Three sessions are planned starting at 10.30 am and finishing at 4.00pm.
We are looking for a volunteer for each session to either recruit new Crouch End & District U3A members and/or provide information about our activities and events. Hornsey Historical Society is on Rokesly Ave/Tottenham Lane and is running this event is part of a Festival of Learning organised by the Haringey Adult Learning Service. The aim, like that of U3A, is to inspire people to learn something new, perhaps returning to education for the first time. People will come by invitation and via the Haringey Adult Learning Service so the exact numbers are unknown. If you are available to help please email Sally Whitaker – email@example.com.
