Monthly Meetings

The next Monthly Meeting will take place on Thursday 10 May. Alexander Zhuravlyov’s talk Putin Forever? will focus on Vladimir Putin as a manifestation of the major trauma that Russian society is going through following the collapse of the USSR. Alex is a producer for the BBC Russian Service and an active member of CE&DU3A.

Venue: Union Church and Community Centre, Weston Park, N8 9PX. The talk will start at 10.45am. Doors open at 10am for tea and coffee – it would be really helpful if you could bring your own mug.

Monthly Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month. They are open to all members, who are welcome to bring a guest. Please bring your membership card. It is possible to join at the meeting.

Helping our U3A

Monthly Meetings
We welcome additional help with organising the Monthly Meetings. This would involve just a few hours a month and you can choose how to help out: liaising with other helpers and the caretaker; supporting those setting up the audio visual equipment; ensuring the hall is ready for members and welcoming those arriving. Any of these tasks can be shared and can easily accommodate absences. Contact Sue at chair@cedu3a.org.uk

Storage of equipment
Due to our status as a charity we have trouble renting storage for our audio visual equipment. If any member has secure storage space that could be made accessible to U3A organisers in preparation for the monthly meetings, we would be very glad to hear from them. Insurance is covered by U3A membership. Please contact chair@cedu3a.org.uk

Computer success

Many thanks to the CE&DU3A member who has very kindly donated a computer to help us run our monthly meetings.

Website contributions

Members’ short accounts or images of their U3A activities are always welcome. Please email these to webmanager@cedu3a.org.uk

Need help with the website?

If you would like to know how to get the best out of the website please email the Webmanager, Julian Osley, at webmanager@cedu3a.org.uk. If there is sufficient interest we could arrange small group sessions.
