  1. What a wonderful idea. Please put me down for it. My membership number is 484. So many happy memories of those days of my youth, the music, the clothes, the feeling of hope and optimism. At that time I worked very near Carnaby Street. At lunchtime would go with some work friends to the many famous coffee bars. We learned to do the Hand Jive at either The Two Eyes or the Cats Whisker. There were so many famous coffee bars. Lots of clubs to go dancing, one of my great passions at that time and dancing is still one of my great passions. Googled Soho Clubs 1960s – these are a few of the ones i remember really well. Pickwick, Flamingo, The Marquee, Ronnie Scott’s, The Pickwick, 100 Club, The Establishment, Le Kilt – the Google List is extremely long, and all the names resonate with memories of those wonderful times
